DVD-9(dual layer) : Playing time up to 240 minutes.

DVD-ROM
For Data.
DVD-5(single sided) : Data capacity up to 4.7GB of data files.
DVD-9(dual layer) : Data capacity up to 8.5GB of data files.

Please note that playing time and data capacity are depended on compression ratio of encoding.

Acceptable master media for DVD Press

• DLT Tape
  TAPEIII or TAPE IV for DLT-2000. DDP2.00 recommended.
  
• DVD-R
  DVD-R for Authoring recommended.
  Basically, your acknowledgment for proof disc is needed before DVD mass production.
  If you need to apply copy protection or press to DVD-9(double layer), you have to prepare DLT tape for the master.

We need following additional information for your master media.

1. Information of copy protection
   • CSS (Contents Scramble System)
     Digital copy protection. If apply, master media has to be DLT tape with CSS flagging.
   • APS(Analog Protection System)
     Macrovision's analog copy protection. If apply, you have to conclude a license agreement with Macrovision.
   
   
2. Information of audio coding type
   Audio coding type from coding types such as AC-3(aka Dolby Digital), or LPCM(Linear Pulse Code Modulation).
   
   
3. Information of MPEG-2
   MPEG-2 is a video compression format of MPEG(Moving Picture Expert Group)standard.
   
   
4. Information of Drive name
   E.g. DLT4000, DLT8000
   
   
5. Total Time (only for DVD-Video)
   The information of total time is needed
   
   
6. Information of Apply or not apply copy protection
   • CSS (Contents Scramble System)
     - The digital copy protection only for DVD-Video.
     Only CSS-FLAG proceeded DLT tape is acceptable. DVD-R is incapable for CSS.
   • APS (Analog Protection System)
     - The analog copy protection only for DVD-Video.
     The conclusion of licensing agreement with Macrovision Corporation is necessary for applying.
   
   
7. Information of Region code
   The information of region code, which indicates playable region, is necessary for DVD-Video.
   Region code is following.
   Notice that if the master media is DVD-R, you cannot select any region code but 'ALL'.
